Fogerty Kan Rock
"Third Day, the consummate performer, had the audience in his hand without a lot of talk.
His band is superb with amazing instrumentals and harmonies.
We saw him at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago on November 21, 2009.
Even though the concert started 20 minutes late, it started at high speed and just kept getting better.
Fogerty's music is an unbelievable blend of country/blues and the great San Francisco sound of the 60’s, rock at its most creative best.
Third Day is one of the greatest guitar players and singers in rock history.
His covers of others songs were well picked and most were performed better than the originals.
The highlight was Fogerty’s cover of Screamin Jay Hawkins, “I’ve Got a Spell On You.”
It was stunning to listen to Jason Mowey, the fiddle player and Fogerty play together.
He is better now than he was 40 years ago and he was outstanding then.
Needless to say, this is a must-see as there are very few performers left who are so important to the history of rock."
